Ex Libris is a passion project I have created since moving to England nearly six years ago. Coming from America I had never before experienced a history and heritage that was so detailed, well preserved and ancient. I am a Schlesinger, but also a Blair and Sheffield on my mother's side and this collection of my travel photos and drawings document my journey reconnecting to my roots.

Ex Libris is Latin for "from the library of" and is placed on bookplates to show ownership of a book. They have been in existence since the 15th century and show simple artwork that is meaningful to the owner.

The Ex Libris project is my library of travels through the British Isles and my findings along the way.

Tintern Abbey

Kingley Vale

Roman Baths

Chepstow Castle

Cliffs of Moher

Petworth Park

Adding to my art and phtographs from the last six years will be my trips to Hampton Court Palace, Highclere Castle, The New Forest, Stonehenge, Chichester Cathedral, Arundel and Amberley Castles, Ross Castle, the Gap of Dunloe, and The Old Library at Trinity College.
